“I have decided to end my career. As most know I was diagnosed with hemochromatosis in 2009 and had to end the season prematurely to begin my treatment/donation. In consultation with the doctor I decided an investment in 2010.

Hemochromatosis is a genetic defect. My mother has a gen and my father one, the disease can only be developed if a double set which I have received.

I dropped mine on the blood in the fall and got down my iron levels. In the spring, I have trained and fought, but not really felt that I had reached my normal level.

I have a lifetime drop me at blood several times a year for not iron levels to rise and I feel that this is an impossible situation for me.

My iron is rising too fast and if I don’t lose me on blood am I tired/matt and if I lose I lose me on blood red blood cells and then I can not train and compete like I should do, catch 22 …

I do not want to be in the crowd, I ride my bike to be at the top and the war, and I feel that I can’t be there. Then I choose to thank for me and end my career.

I will now have a little vacation. Spending time with friends and family are at the top of my list to make. Then it’s time for new challenges in life. I like health and wellness, as well as to take care of other people because I look forward to an education in the area.

A big thank you to all of you that supported and cheered for me over the years! I have had wonderful fun! ”
