The test that scores for the national ranking will happen on November 2 at the Botafogo Cove
About 500 cyclists divided into 17 categories are expected for the seventh edition of the Cycling Light Cup. The competition will be held in a 4.38-km flat circuit at Botafogo Bay.The winners will be distributed prizes that total R $ 30 thousand.
The novelty of the 2014 edition is the division of the Open Female category into A (up to 39 years) and B (from 40 years).
Amateur and elite athletes can register until October 29 at out site for R $ 80. The Light Cup is especially interesting for the elite because it adds points to the national ranking in class 3 (Scores for the national ranking from the 1st to the 15th position of each category and the state ranking from the 1st to the 30th place).
The kilometers traveled vary by category. The longest race is the Men’s Elite with 65.7 km (15 laps); The shortest is the Women’s Open with 13.14 km (3 laps).
Starts take place between 7am and 9:23 am at Flamengo Beach-United Nations Avenue (height of Farani Street). Awards ceremonies will be held between 8am and 12pm.
