The final stage with the start and finish in Nice won by Amaël Moinard (Cofidis, Le Credit en Ligne) ahead of Thomas Voeckler (Bbox Bouygues Telecom). The duo was featured in the splinter group which was set up on the day’s first climb, they managed to keep the peloton behind them although it was tight. With two-second margin, they held away from the onslaught of the peloton.
